Nourishing Winter Pedicure at Home

Hiya girls and guys! Hope this winter is going on well. All of us need extra skin nourishment in winter as our skin loses all the moisture and natural oils. Even I do feel uncomfortable with my skin in winters as its very dry and flaky. It's not only enough taking care of your facial and body skin with lotions and creams, we should also take care of our precious feet which bears our whole weight :). Even in summers our feet are usually dry and rough, then just imagine how it will be in winters? Just check your feet now, touch it gently. What do you feel? It's like toughing a rough cactus isn't it? :( My feet was like same till today morning, as I didn't perform any pedicure after summer. Today morning I found out an interesting way to perform a best winter pedicure and my feet became instantly soft and bright :)) as you see in the below picture..

So, how to perform this nourishing winter pedicure at home? And what are the things needed? A very few things which you can find in your kitchen :D

THINGS NEEDED
1. Salt
2. A small tub
3. Essential oils such as olive, almond, grape seed oils
4. Foot scrubber, loofah or a pumice stone
5. Soft towel
6. Nail cutter
7. Nail polish remover.
8. Cold cream or moisturizer.

FOOT SCRUBBER
Foot scrubber is very essential for every pedicure because it scrubs your feet well, removes the flaky dead skin cells and makes feet soft and smooth. If you don't have one you can purchase it from your nearest department store or you as also replace a foot scrubber with a good loofah pad or a pumice stone.

Okay now I will give the steps of performing this pedicure. :D

METHOD
1.Remove your old nail polish and file your nails. Fill the tub with warm water. The water shouldn't be too hot or cold, it should be bearable for your foot. Hot water is used in pedicure because it loosens up the pores of your skin and makes the scrubbing process more easier and fuller. It softens the rough skin and thus the impurities and dead skin gets removed easily :)

2. Now mix a hand full of salt, few drops of your regular body wash or shampoo and the essential oils to the tub of water. Salt acts as a great exfoliate while the essential oils nourishes your feet and prevent it from drying.

3. Blend the minute of water well to get lather like this and soak your feet in the tub for 15 minutes.

4. After 15 minutes, take out your feet and scrub it with your foot scrubber gently over the sensitive skin surfaces and little harder over the rough parts of your feet. Don't be too harsh to your feet while scrubbing.

5. After 10 to 15 minutes of scrubbing, wash your feet with plenty of clean and cold water. Towel dry and moisturize with a good moisturizing lotion or a cold cream like the ponds cold cream which I use all the time :) You can coat your nails with a good nail enamel if you wish. The process is complete. :)

NOTE: This winter pedicure can be followed once in every 15 days to prevent the beauty of your precious feet :) You should clean and moisturize your feet every night before going to bed in order to make it look and feet soft and smooth all the time :)

Softy softly feet is all yours now! Say goodbye to winter dryness :D :D

Skin Softening Body Lotion at Home

Hello friends! :) :) Past two days I am posting beauty tips which are useful for the winter season and today I am going to post a Homemade skin softening body lotion recipe which is suitable to use in all the seasons, especially in winter to prevent dryness in your skin. Just before an hour I made this body lotion in my home and it's really awesome, smells pleasant too. Let me explain you all with step by step instructions and pictures! :)

HOMEMADE SKIN SOFTENING WINTER BODY LOTION
I prepared this lotion just before an hour :)

INGREDIENTS
  • Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly
  • Vitamin E capsules
  • Glycerin
  • Small bowl
  • Old body lotion or face wash bottle

METHOD

1.Take a clean small bowl and add Vaseline to it as shown in the image below.

2. Now take the Vitamin E capsules (I used 4 capsules for a 7g Vaseline pack) and make holes in it using a pin, extract the oil from the capsules. Pour this extracted oil into the Vaseline bowl.

3. Now add required glycerin to the Vaseline and Vitamin E oil mixture. Blend well with a clean spoon. You can also add few drops of essential oils like sandal wood oil, lavender oil, rose essence or any other one for a pleasant flavor. Now heat this bowl until the mixture melts (It takes only 5 to 10 secs to melt) as shown in the below picture

4. Once the mixture gets melted, turn off the stove and pour this mixture immediately to an old lotion bottle or a face wash bottle. I used clean and clean face wash bottle to store this body lotion. Allow the mixture to set and get thicker for 10 minutes. You can refrigerate this lotion for fast setting and a cooling effect on your skin. This lotion is transparent, non greasy and easily gets absorbed to the skin. With daily usage, it fades out the body scars and dark spots as it contains Vitamin E, a natural scar remover.

USAGE AND RESULTS
  • It is a chemical free, very natural homemade skin softening lotion which also fades scars and evens out complexion.
  • You should use this lotion over your skin after every bath and before going to bed every night to nourish your skin and give softness. You can see visible results within a week.
  • It prevents dryness and softens the skin instantly.
  • I recommend all aged people to prepare this lotion at home and use it in winter and also in summer if you have dry skin. Even children can use this to achieve a softy softy skin.

I hope you all like this homemade skin softening body lotion recipe. Good luck :) Leave your comments below :)

Save your beautiful skin from this winter!

Get Soft Hands Overnight

Hey how are you all? Today I am gonna post an interesting natural home treatment which we can do at our home to soften hands overnight. I do this every week to maintain my palms soft and flawless. I hope this post will be useful, leave your comments after trying this at home!

MY HAND (PALM)

INGREDIENTS
  • Loofah pad
  • Sugar
  • Olive oil or Almond oil
  • Milk
  • Vaseline

METHOD
  • The first thing I do is exfoliation. This process removes the dead skin cells from the rough outer layer of the skin. I use baking soda to exfoliate my hands. It is very simple, mix baking soda with water to make a paste. Wash your hands and apply this paste all over your hands. Scrub with loofah pad for 5 minutes. Leave on the mixture for 15 minutes and wash off.
  • The next process is nourishing, I use olive or almond oil to nourish my skin because they have lots of Vitamin E. To get a gentle scrubbing effect, I add sugar with the oil and massage my hands with this mixture for 10 minutes. The essential oil adds moisture and nourishes the skin while the sugar acts as a gentle scrub to remove dead cells.
  • Wash your hands thoroughly with water and wipe with a towel. Now apply milk over your hands and let the skin absorbs the milk for at least 10 minutes. Wash off with clean cold water. This is the main process which softens the skin.
  • And finally, apply a good moisturizer, cold cream or Vaseline over your hands. Wear cotton gloves and sleep. It's really a magic! You would be surprised to see your soft, smooth and bright hands in the morning! :) :)

Don't forget to write back to me after trying this! Good luck friends! :)
