Lakme Instaliner Water Resistent Eyeliner Review

Hello girls!

Today I am here up with a  review of Eyeliner from Lakme. This was my second used eyeliner, first one being dazzler. The main reason why I purchased is it's water resistant claim and an affordable prize. Being a student I cannot of afford on costly liners. I didn't even know the difference between water resistant and water proof before using this instaliner. Let me write my experience with this eye liner, my ratings and recommendation in this post. My View About this Product with Ratings

The Packaging

The product comes in a transparent glass bottle with a sturdy screw type lid. The lid is not too long or short and hence the application is in control every time. If you are a person who looks for cute packaging, this won't be your choice because the packaging is very simple, but yet it is very well packed as the brush is in our control when we line our eyes.

   The control of lining is good but the bristle comes in this product is little confusing. When I got the first bottle, the bristle was very fine, neither too thin nor thick but the second bottle's application bristle was worst. So, It is needed to check the applicator before buying this eyeliner. And the other con about the packaging is, no ingredient list mentioned on the bottle. Leave the ingredient list, where's the price? It is not listed on the bottle at all, so there are lots of chances of being cheated by the shopkeeper :P

Colour, Consistency and Texture

The colour of the liner is dark black, perfect for everyday use but still we expect need more shades from you Lakme :) To say about the consistency, it is neither too thick nor too thin but I doubt that with regular usage the consistency thickens. The texture of the liner is very smooth and glossy but it gives a matte after it gets dried. If you are looking out for a great matte effect, then this would be a perfect choice. Glossy lovers may not like it much.

My Experience with this Eyeliner

This is one of my favorite "daily wear" eyeliner and has my own likes and dislikes about it. The main dislike about this eyeliner is that it takes too long to dry. I have to sit under fan for more than 5 minutes to dry it completely if I lined thick. If it is a thin line on your eyes, it takes 2 to 3 minutes to dry. So no quick drying, this may lead in smudging if not patient. I am not a patient girl hence this becomes a big headache for me about this product :(

When applied looks very glossy on my eyes but after drying completely this shows a perfect matte effect. Even though I loved the shade, I wanted it to be more black to beautify eyes perfectly. Lakme gives a huge quantity for this product, hence it takes months to get finished off. It may even take a year. 

 When I splash water on my face the eyeliner doesn't comes off or smudges but if rubbed, it smudges a lot and gives and horrible look. So, if you cry, sweat or get wet in rain you should allow the liner to dry before disturbing your eyes. Other than this, this is good for everyday use, especially for all the beginners. It stays all day long and does not peel off or cracks. The bristle and texture is to be improved in this product and price should be mentioned on the package.

PROS

1. Huge quantity for this affordable price, hence lasts really longer.
2. The application is in great control and the packaging is good.
3. I didn't cause any side effects or itching. 
4. The liner doesn't peel off or cracks. Stays on eyes all day long if not rubbed with water.
5. Water resistant, hence it may suit even if you sweat (but shouldn't rub)
6. Beginners can use this as a perfect daily eyeliner.

CONS

1. No ingredient list is mentioned on the pack. This makes sensitive eyes hesitate to buy it. 
2. Even the price is not mentioned. It's a great con because new customers may get cheated by the sellers.
3. The liner takes long time for drying hence may not satisfy people who look for "quick and easy dry"
4. The black should be more dark and news shades to be launched. There's only one shade  (black) now.
5. It is just water resistant, not water proof. This wont be a con for this price and quantity. So use wisely and you will like it :)
6. In some packs, the application bristles are worst (Others are so good, so check before buying)

Overall Rating: 3.5/5 (-1 for No quick drying, -1 for Ingredients and Price not mentioned, -5 for error in some pack bristles)

My Recommendation: Perfect for everyday use! Good quantity for this much lower price so please take a try! Would suit for beginners well.

Will I repurchase?: Sure! Repurchase of this product is needed only once in a year as it lasts that much longer, when who wont? It's an economical and good buy overall.

Lakme Rose Powder With Sunscreen Review

Most of the Lakme products suit me well, hence I shopped The Lakme Rose Powder for daily use. I don't have the habit of applying heaving foundations, concealers over my facial skin everyday unless there is any occasion. So, this fitted my mind best when I went for shopping, I guessed that it would be a perfect light daily wear. Using it for about a month noting it's pros and cons. Let me review me it here today.

The Packaging

The product comes in a round sturdy plastic jar with a puff and a pull type plastic lid (with 5 holes) in it. To say about the puff, it is not that great. For better application you need to use a brush. I feel the puff take out a heavy amount which leads to mess. The five holes in the lid are meant for taking out the powder, but it doesn't seems to workout all the time, sometime it stuck when I am in  hurry to get ready. This makes me open the lid to take the powder which results in a mess and powder spillage. Nothing much to say about the packaging, it's not that travel friendly, would be nice if comes in a better pack.

My Rating: 3/5 (-1 for the puff, -1 for the whole package)

Consistency, Colour and Fragrance

As I listed above, it comes in two shades, soft pink and warm pink. Soft pink is for fair skin tones and the warm pink is for wheatish to dusky ones. I wish it would be better if the product has more shades. I purchased the warm pink one as I am dusky and the texture was so smooth and fine. It's a very fine powder so that you would love to apply it over your facial skin evenly for a lovely soft finish.

  To say about the fragrance in one line, It smells like fresh Roses!! This is a main lovely thing to say about this powder, it smells of rose, so girlies who love roses will love this one.

My Experience of Usage and Its Results

The powder gives a very smooth finish to my face which is not at all heavy. I loved its lightness on my facial skin very much. It doesn't make my skin look chalky at all. If applied in a proper way, it blends to the skin very easily. As I am dusky skinned, the warm pink one suited me best. It gives medium coverage, doesn't hide scars much but instantly brightens skin and kept my skin oil free and radiant for minimum 4 hours. Then I need to touch up. This rose powder will suit all the skin types and can be used as a perfect foundation setting one. Dry skins will need a good moisturizer before applying this.
     This will be a great product for normal and oily skins which you can wear daily for a casual and simple look. The rose fragrance was so good but barely lasts for only an hour. Overall, it works on me good and I am using it everyday for a simple, bright and oil free look. It will also last for months as the quantity is abundant and only a less amount will be needed for every application. And the main thing I forgot to mention is that, it doesn't break me out at all, no side effects and doesn't clog pores too as some products will do. A great worth of money! Only the sunscreen thing is confusing as they didn't mention any SPF content. That won't be a problem because it can't be expected for this price and quantity.

My Rating: 5/5 (No con about the usage and results, at this price and goodness)

PROS

1. Very smooth finish and light feel on my facial skin.
2. It doesn't result in any chalky look. Blends easily to the skin.
3. Stays long, keeps face oil free.
4. Instantly brightens face with every application.
5. The sweet rose fragrance tempts me to use it everyday!
6. It doesn't clog pores like few of the other rose powders do.
7. No side effects, No break outs at all.
8. The quantity is great for the price, lasts for months.
9. Economically priced.
10. This powder will be a perfect one for setting down foundations.
11. Gives medium coverage and a radiant look.

CONS

1. Yikes!! Lots of parabens that you can see in the ingredient list. Which product today doesn't have? No problem with it if you are not allergic to parabens.
2. The packaging. it would have been better to make it travel friendly and spillage free.
3. If they launch more shades, it would be easier to select one for your skin tone. And it gives medium coverage which doesn't cover scars and marks entirely. These two can't be taken as a con at all for this price, quantity and goodness! :P
4. Mentioned that it has SPF, but no SPF content in the ingredient list. So I doubt whether it will protect skin from UV rays or not.

My Recommendation: Go for it! It is a nice and economical buy. The product is very good to use as a everyday wear with it's mesmerising rose fragrance. Dry skins will need a good moisturizer though. And the product is perfect for setting foundations! :) 

Overall Rating: 3.5/5 (-1.5 for packaging packaging, parabens and less shades)

Lakme Fruit Blast Strawberry Face Wash Review

  Previously I reviewed Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face wash here and this time I am going to review Lakme’s fruit blast strawberry face wash. This is the second face wash of Lakme brand I have used till now. I loved the perfect radiance face wash lot as it suited perfectly for my skin type. You can read its detailed review here. The reason why I preferred this one to use next is, its strawberry flavor. This has become my very favorite and best smelling fruit face wash for its very delicious, sweet fruity smell. Usually I’ll describe about a product’s fragrance in “my view” topic but this time said it in introduction itself, just guess how sweet it is then! Let’s now move on to the detailed review.

My View About this Product

As I mentioned above, it’s smell and just it’s smell took me away. I loved it very much more than the fragrance of any other face wash. As I am a great strawberry lover, I enjoyed the pleasant natural smell of strawberries in it, but not sure how it will be for you if you are not crazy about strawberries much. Okay I think that I am boring you with the “fragrance” thing much :p Now we can discuss about its packaging, colour and texture. It comes in a pack as every other Lakme’s face wash comes ,a tube with a flip cap which is firm and travel friendly. But this face wash’s packaging is not at all opaque like the perfect radiance one, so it is much more easier to find out how much is left in the tube. I think I need not say about the colour, you seen strawberries right? This face wash is the same of that colour. 

       It is gel based and has tiny wax beads in it which gave me a feel that I added a pinch of sugar to my face wash. I don’t know how much it helps in exfoliating but the face wash claims that it is in order to exfoliate dead skin. But no offence, it did not irritate my skin at all. Another special thing about this face wash is, it gives a cooling effect once applied onto my facial skin and work up with lather. It really does, I felt an icy cold effect on my facial skin. You cannot expect a creamy lather with this face wash, it lathers pretty normal. People who love to use heavy foaming face washes may feel little disappointed with this thing, but it does lather normal. It washes off without any slippery feel, yet it takes more water to get washed off. I am using it for past few weeks, it softened my skin, does the cleansing job well as a good face wash, no side effects at all, no breakouts and helped my open pores to get shrink a bit. This face wash doesn’t moisturize, nourish or something but didn’t strip off moisture at all. I didn’t feel any tightness; the only thing I felt is softness. Yes! I am really happy with this face wash a lot, feeling that lakme suits me well and good. Take a try if you a need yummy fruity smelling mild face wash.

PROS

1. Fragrance! It smells like mashed juicy and yummy strawberries.
2. It softens skin with regular use and minimizes pores a bit.
3.  It doesn’t strip off skin’s natural moisture, so no tightness, no itchy feel after washing face.
4.   It contains exfoliating beads, which removes dead skin cells up to an extent.
5. The fresh feel it delivers after every wash which tempts to wash face often.
6. Made of natural fruit ingredients, so it does no harm to your facial skin and therefore no side effects.
7. The cooling effect which it gives while washing face, I think this is the reason for pore minimization.
8. The price is affordable for the quantity and hence it is worth buying.
9. The product comes in a see through tube with a flip cap, so the packaging makes it very good. It is easy to get to know how much is left in the tube and is travel friendly due to its firm flip cap.

CONS

1. No moisturizing effect. So, the facial skin surely needs a moisturizer after every wash, especially in dry winters. Dry skins may feel a little tight in winters, so go for nourishing face washes.
2. It lathers less, so there is a need for a big squeeze; hence the product gets over sooner than other foamy face washes. It last for about 20 to 25 days for me. Its not a big con at all while seeing the fragrance and other goodness :D
3. No more cons! It is a nice fruit face wash for those who expect freshness, mildness and love fruits. No harsh chemicals and thus makes us feel natural with a yummy fragrance while every face wash. I love it! Worth a try!

My Recommendation:  Oily and normal skins go for it! Dry people will need a deep nourishing one. It is going to be your HG face wash if you love strawberries, as same as me :P

Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream Review

Today I am going to review a fairness cream from Lakme, a well known popular cosmetic brand. Basically I am not that crazy about fairness creams or lotions as I love my dusky complexion and I am not the one who crave for whiter pale skin. Fairness creams are not going to make me or anyone magically fair though :P The main reason why I purchased this fairness day cream is that I loved the face wash from this range very much. I have already reviewed the Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash here and the reason why I loved it is the freshness and instant brightness it gives after washing my face. So I thought of trying the fairness cream from this perfect radiance range and using it for about a month. Let me give my review about it with its pros and cons

My View About Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream

The product comes in tub with an outer cover which is sweet pink in co lour. The tub is compactly packed inside the cover with a thin plastic base. The tub which containing the cream is somewhat purplish in colour with a lovely silver lid on the top. This combination makes the packaging classy and anyone will love it very much. The silver lid was firm and tight thus the product is travel friendly too. Even though I loved the packaging, I feel little disappointed with it because the tub packaging makes it unhygienic. We have to dip our finger every time into the tub to take out the cream, If the product comes in tube, it would be much better than this. The fragrance is flowery and sweet as same as the face wash from this range.

       To say about the consistency of the cream, it is very smooth, creamy and milkish peach in colour (As you see in the above pics) It spreads easily and absorbs easily without any trouble on my skin. Unlike most of the other fairness creams, it is very light on my skin, it doesn't make my skin feel heavy or tight. The main thing, it's not greasy at all. It instantly brightened my skin without leaving any whitish cast. But remember, In darker skin tones, it may leave a ashy cast if applied too much. With regular use, it reduced my acne scars up to an extent and made my skin tone even. It think it removed little tan too as it claims. As I am a "normal to oily" skinned girl, this cream suits me best for day time usage but dry skins should stay away from this. There is no moisturizing effect at all. This product is surely not for dry skins and some normal skins too may feel this less moisturizing in winters. Eventhough I love to use it as a perfect day cream, I am not ready to go with it to nourish my skin at nights, my skin needs an extra nourishing night cream. So allover, it's a perfect day cream which is light, which gives instant brightening effect, stays longer on face and best to use only for oily skinned people. It also acts a superb makeup base but dry skinned people shouldn't go for it.

PROS

1. Cute, Sturdy and Travel friendly packaging
2. Smooth texture of the cream which is very creamy and spreads easily.
3. Lovable flowery fragrance which gives instant freshness.
4. This day cream instantly brightens skin without any greasy feel or heaviness.
5. A very best day cream and a make up base for oily and super oily skins.
6. It reduces the appearance of scars and evened out my skin tone up to a great extent.
7. Removes sun tan as it claims, only with regular use.
8. The tub is fully filled with cream, hence it's affordable for the quantity and quality. A 50gm tub will last for more than 2 months.
9. No side effects, no breakouts if used in normal and oily skins. Safe to use.

CONS

1. No moisturizing effect! Dry skins stay away.
2. Tub Packaging which is unhygienic.
3. Contains Parabens. Which cosmetic today doesn't?

No other cons, the only main thing that bothers people is that the product has no moisturizing effect. But it's not a big con according to this cream because they didn't claim at all that this cream will moisturize your skin. The product only claims that it "Reduces oiliness". So, the Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Day Cream lives up to its claims. Worth of money!

My Recommendation: Oily Skins go head, it will suit you best in all the seasons. Normal skins, summer is alright but stay away from this cream in winters and dry people, just forget about this product. This is not for you in any season.

Will I repurchase this product? : Sure, Every time! I love it because it instantly brightens, evens out my skin with daily use and acts as a good makeup base too.

Today I am about to review one of their face wash from the skincare range and it is Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash. I got this as a prize in a contest conducted by Lakme called Lakme Fruit Blast Fest Contest. Till now, I have heard many good things and good reviews about this face wash and so tried it first from the five fruit blast face washes I got, to give my review and suggestions. As this face wash works good on my skin, I have also picked up a fairness day cream from this perfect radiance range and surely you can expect a review of it soon :) Now let's move on to my review.

My View About Lakme Perfect Radiance Fairness Face Wash

It was one among the 5 face washes I won in the contest. Because of the cute packaging and pleasant smell I decided to try it first. The pack comes in a lovely pink and opaque tube with silver printed letters and a sacred lotus symbol in it. It has a flip cap which makes it easier to use and travel friendly, as it is firm and good. The colour of the face wash is milkish light pink and the consistency is cream like, very smooth and soft. It is not runny at all, thick enough for a face wash. The very first time I squeezed the face wash in my hand, I smelt it and fell in love with the smell. It is very true that it has a mild lotus smell and totally the smell is very flowery which no one will hate. 

     As it is creamy, I thought that it might make my skin look greasy or oily but it never does that. I cleansed my face without any slippery feel and oiliness.. Wait..!! The good news is that it doesn't dry my skin too :) It was really a miracle, and I am in love with this perfect radiance face wash from Lakme. It is really suitable for all skin types, especially in winter. If your skin is super oily, then avoid it in summers. Mistakenly, I squeezed huge quantity at the first use, it lathers very much. The foam is very creamy, that you would love to wash your face often. It also washes out easily without any need of much water. A very little amount is enough to cleanse your face and neck. After washing my face, it instantly brings out the brightness and my skin felt softer too. Within 7 days of usage, it evened out my skin a bit and also helped in fading scars. This is going to be my all time favorite face wash hereafter! Worth every squeeze :P

2. A very little amount is enough to wash entire face and neck, so it lasts longer.
3. Mild and Lovely flower like fragrance which makes face feel fresh.
4. It lathers very much and did the cleansing work perfectly without leaving any residue or oiliness.
5. It doesn't dry out the skin even in winters, makes skin softer with regular use.
6. Instantly brightens skin without any slippery feel.
7. Travel friendly, as it comes with a firm flip model cap.

CONS

I don't like to list out any cons for this awesome product, but few odd things I felt are..

1. Not suitable for super oily skins in summers.
2. If the tube is not opaque, it would have been easier in finding how much is felt in the tube.

My Rating: 5/5 (Yippee... No minus. It does what it claims)

My Recommendation: Shop it for sure. I am saying from my experience, worth every wash. It became my HG face wash within a month :)
