EOTD: Red Smokey Eyes... Yes! RED! :P

Red lipsticks are all the rage now and with everyone looking for their perfect Red, it is now become a norm to see a lot of Red lipstick reviews and a lot of Red LOTD posts... Yes I am guilty of quite a few too ;) But last night I thought of trying out Red on my eyes... Something drastic you say? Not really, if you know how to tame Red on your eyes, you are then another bit closer to achieve the know-all of makeup ;) Now who wouldn't want to do that ye? *Yup the "ye" part was an Irish imitation... Am watching a lot of Sons of Anarchy these days ;)*

Here is the look... Your views are really WELCOME! And I would love you guys to be brutally honest with me :D

With Flash

I paired it with Pink Blush and Nude Lips :)

And this is what I used to create this look... Coastal Scents 88 original palette...

Oh btw if you guys actually like the look, then let me know I'll pakka se do a tutorial on it! :)

LOTD & TUTORIAL: Fun and Flirty Eyes with Coastal Scents Original :)

Though my guy runs a software firm, he doesn't really believe in IT's 5 days a week working policy. So every Saturday sees me sleeping in late while the guy rushes to office early morning. And so our Saturday lunch rituals are generally in his office and this gives me an opportunity to doll up and then meet him for lunch :) hehehe...

So today I took this blue flared skirt of mine with some white embroidery and a Red top :) And since the look was all girlie, fun and summery I took out my Coastal Scents Original palette for its plethora of colors and created this EOTD :) Hope you guys like it!

LOTD & Tutorial: Eye Make-up to Match a Grey Dress

A few days back I did a post about matching or rather complementing our makeup with our outfit. Well in continuation to that post today I plan on doing an EOTD to match a grey dress. Of course if it would have been a look for a night out, I would have gone for a heavy smoky look but as I was interested in doing a look for a daytime event, I settled for a shimmery green look with a slight smoky effect to it. It looks something like this:
Soft Green-Grey Smoky Eye

The products I have used for this look are as follows:
1. NYX Eye shadow base
2. MAC Peacocky Collection Eye shadow in EGO
3. Coastal Scents 88 Original Eye shadow palette
4. Maybelline Gel Eyeliner
5. Maxfactor False Lash Effect Mascara
6. Maybelline Colorsensational Lipstick in "Coral Crush"

The way to do it:
1. I first primed my eyes with the NYX eye shadow base.
2. Then I dabbed MAC eye shadow in EGO in a dab dab motion with a flat eye shadow brush
MAC Peacocky Collection: Eye shadow called EGO

3. Next, I took the matte taupe eye shadow from my coastal scents palette and using a Faces blending brush applied it to my crease area and blended well.

4. Finally, I lined my eyes with Maybelline Gel Eyeliner and applied mascara and lipstick...

LOTD & Tutorial: Soft Peach and Pink Smokey Look

Yoohoo.. It's been so long since I did a tutorial and well to think about it, there was a time when I so enjoyed putting up my random LOTDs and titorials. But now being wrapped up with product reviews (well yes I have been a hoarder!) I totally forgot about doing some of my favorite tutes :) Just yesterday someone told me how she hated when beauty bloggers flaunted their superbly done makeups and EOTDs and LOTDs but not give an insight on how to chieve them. Ahem! Well needless to say I was left wondering if she was talking about me! No! I am not claiming that I do just "perfect" make-up but then you guys do get the drift! LOL!
So now I came up with this ridiculously easy LOTD and I am so hoping that you guys try it out and share your results with me. I will be deeply honored :) Honestly!
Here's a sneak peek at what we are gonna be achieving by the end of this tutorial. It's a soft peach and crimson smokey look:

1. First off, prep your eye lids with an eye-shadow base. I used MAC Paint Pot in Painterly
Used MAC Painterly Paint Pot as base...
2. This step is optional. You can buff your lids with loose powder. I haven't done so.
3. Next, I applied shade 1 (peach) all over my lids with a flat eye-shadow brush.
Shade 1: Peach
4. Then applied some shade 2 (crimson) on my crease area and blended with a good fluffy blending brush.
Shade 2: Crimson

5. You could line your eyes now and finish off but I needed it to be a bit more dramatic and so took some shade 3 (black) and blended it in my outer V of my eyes.
6. Next I lined my eyes with Maybelline's Lasting Drama Eye Studio Gel Liner in Black and applied some Maybelline Colossal Volume Mascara.
7. On my lips I applied Colorbar Velvet Matte lipstick in Hot Hot Hot and then kissed a tissue ;)
8. Finally applied some Colorbar Blush in Plum Brown and VOILA I was ready to go :)

You guys do try this out and I would love to receive your looks if you care to share them with me :)

EOTD: Aqua

I will not be lying when I say that I am obsessed with my new Coastal scents 88 eye shadow palette and that even though it does have its flaws like a few shades having less pigmentation or some shadows that aren't easily blendable, but I still love it... Just the way it is :)

Well in my previous post I did an EOTD that turned out be pretty sober, so today I wanted to do something that totally rocked and was extremely colorful and bright! And my roommate Manu suggested this :)

So here goes...

EOTD: Yellow and Pink

Hello ladies... I finally did a look using my brand new Coastal Scents 88 Eye Shadow Palette... Yay Yay Yay! :D
Also do note that I could finally use yellow on my eyes. Honestly? I have been itching to do a yellow EOTD since a long time now but whenever I would I would go to purchase a yellow eye shadow, I would get side tracked and end up buying something in either Pink or Purple :P LOL... So finally when I got my Coastal Scents palette I knew that the first look I wanted to do using it would be something with yellow!
